How our pricing works, in advance.
Is the quote fixed or an estimate?+
Fixed. Once we have seen the scope the fee does not move unless you change what you are asking for, in which case we agree the variation before doing the work.
What is included in the fee?+
Site survey, analysis, calculations, general arrangement drawings, connection details, the independent check, and answering building control queries. Site inspection visits are priced separately and stated up front.
When do I pay?+
Domestic work is invoiced on issue of the drawings. Commercial commissions are staged against RIBA work stages, agreed in the appointment.
What if you tell me the project will not work?+
Then we will have saved you a great deal more than our fee, and we will suggest what would work instead. That advice is part of the commission, not an extra.
