Diagrid Engineering collects as little personal information as possible, uses it only to answer your enquiry and deliver your project, and does not sell or share it for marketing.
What we collect
When you submit an enquiry or a quote request we collect your name, the contact details you choose to give us, the address or postcode of the property, and whatever you tell us about the work. During a commission we may also hold drawings, photographs, survey data and correspondence relating to the building.
Why we hold it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, carry out the engineering work, meet our professional and insurance obligations, and keep the records a structural engineer is required to keep.
Who sees it
Our own engineers and administrative staff and, where your project requires it, building control bodies, party wall surveyors, architects and contractors working on the same job. We use reputable providers for email, file storage and drawing management, who process data on our instruction only.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after twelve months. Project records are retained for fifteen years from completion, which reflects the limitation period applying to structural design work.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not obliged to keep it, or object to how we are using it. Write to us at the Paddington address and we will respond within one month.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work. There is no advertising tracking and no third-party profiling.
Privacy questions
Will you add me to a mailing list?+
No. We do not run one. You will hear from us about your project and nothing else.
Are photographs of my home published?+
Only with your written consent, and never with an address attached. Most of our domestic work is never published at all.
Can I ask you to delete my project file?+
We must keep design records for fifteen years for professional liability reasons. Anything outside that obligation we will delete on request.
